PROJECT DEVELOPMENT NEWS New Awards (not previously funded) 1. David Johnson received a new, six-month award, “Implementation of a Dementia Crisis Support Program: The Bridge Project” from KDA that began September 30, 2009. 2. Sara Sack received a new, one-year award, “Assistive Technology Services for Vocational Rehabilitation Customers” from KsSRS that began January 1, 2010. 3. Rachel Freeman received three new, nine-month awards to supplement her “Kansas Institute for Positive Behavior Support” award: a) “Kansas Person-Centered Planning Study”; b) “Quality of Life Measurement and Evaluation Study”; and c) “Kansas Challenging Behavior Study” that all began February 1, 2010. 5. David Lindeman received a new, six-month ARRA award, “Early Childhood Partnerships Training and Technical Assistance (ECPTT)” from KDHE that began April 1, 2010. 6. Vicki Collie-Akers, Steve Fawcett and Jerry Schultz received a new, three-year award, “Enhancing the Latino Health for All Coalition’s Efforts to Promote Health Lifestyles in Kansas City, KS” from the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City that was scheduled to begin June 1, 2010. 7. Steve Schroeder, Nancy Brady, Matt Reese and Merlin Butler received a new, two-year award, “Early Prevention of Aberrant Behavior in Neurodevelopmental Disorders in Peru” from NICHD that began June 1, 2010. 8. Eva Horn and Susan Palmer received a new, three-year award, “Children’s School Success Curriculum – Plus (CSS+): Supporting All Children’s Progress in the General Curriculum” from DE-IES that began July 1, 2010. 9. Jean Ann Summers and Janis Bulgren received a five-year renewal for “Inclusive Network of Kansas (INKS): Technical Assistance Network System (TANS) from KsDE that began July 1, 2010. 10.
