Children's school success

This is a current project.

Description

The purpose of this project is to implement and evaluate the Children’s School Success Curriculum Model in preschool classrooms of children at risk for school failure. NIH is funding this multi-university project with Indiana University serving as site coordinator, subcontracting with five regional sites across the country, the University of Kansas among them. These regional sites are testing the model with four-year-old children in a total of 60 classrooms. Children at risk are defined as those living in poverty, those with identified disabilities and children who are English language learners. LSI investigators are working with the targeted population in two-three preschool classrooms in Kansas. LSI investigators have thus far worked with 16 preschool classrooms in Northeast Kansas.
