Kansas College of Direct Support

This is a current project.

Description

The College of Direct Support (CDS) provides online multimedia training for direct support professionals who work with individuals with developmental and other disabilities.  Access to this national program is funded by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS). CDS provides training for front-line support professionals (such as job coaches and personal assistants), their supervisors, foster parents and family members. A basic component in a growing number of state and national credential and apprenticeship programs, the CDS web-based curriculum is built on nationally validated competency sets and ethical guidelines.
