Determining the efficacy of the Self-Determined Learning Model of Instruction to improve secondary and transition outcomes for students with cognitive disabilities


This is a current project.


Description

This project is evaluating the effectiveness of the Self-Determined Model of Instruction among high school students with mental retardation or learning disabilities. The Self-Determined Learning Model of Instruction helps students to be more self-directed to achieve their educational goals and increase their independence. The project is working with teachers and students in urban, suburban and rural high schools in Kansas and neighboring states.
