USS & UPS Evaluation System
Performance evaluations provide everyone with an opportunity to record strengths and contributions to the Life Span Institute and the University. In addition, the University requires an annual written performance evaluation for all employees in regular positions. All settings in the LSI are required to provide written annual evaluations. The system consists of 1) a position description menu and 2) an evaluation form to be used for evaluations reflecting job performance from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011. All evaluations are due February 20, 2012. Due to deadlines placed upon LSI these deadlines are not flexible. All evaluations should be submitted to LSI Associate Director, Finance and Administration, Kristi Billinger.
This system assumes that the position description will have one or more major categories followed by the specific responsibilities assigned to each major category. In addition, there is a section for goals and objectives for the coming year under each responsibility. This position description then becomes the basis for the annual evaluation.
